Golden boy– Senior Trevor Greenfield sales to the finish in front of the pack in his preliminary heat of the 110-meter hurdles at the regional meet at Texas Tech on April 25. Greenfield would go on to win the finals in both the 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdles.

Senior Trevor Greenfield took the championship in the 110 hurdles and in the 300 hurdles at the region meet at Fuller Track Complex at Texas Tech on April 26.

Greenfield, who ran at his first region meet this weekend due to injuries the past three years, would lead all 110-meter hurdlers with a time of 14:33 seconds.

Greenfield, who owns the school record in both hurdle events, took the championship in the 300-meter race in 39.08 seconds.

Greenfield will be joined at state in the 110-meter race by senior Hayden Everitt. Although Everitt came in third in the 110 race in a time of 14.81 behind Springfield of Springtown, Everitt’s time was the top third place in any 3A region so he got a wild card bid to state.

Everitt also took third in the 300 hurdles in a time of 39.59.

Junior Jimmy Vaughan took fifth place in pole vault with a leap of 14 feet.
